The location and free car-parking (although it was on a first-come- first served basis, which was misleading as the information provided stated free, but reception said we had to pay a £5 reservation fee). The spa/pool/steam room all added to the overall experience of a lovely weekend!

Room was rather 'tired' but overall excellent value for money

The loaction was amazing and could not be faulted for the purpopse of our stay. Handy to have a good restaurant next door as well.

It was under refurbishment which cause alot of issues. When we first walked in we stood at the reception for around 5 mins without a single acknowledgement from anyone. The staff seemed very unorganised and it took a long time to get checked in, they also didnt speak to us for most of the checking in and so we were left not knowing what was happening for most of it. The reception are was very untidy with painters and decorators equipment left lying all over. The satirs were out of order and had to use an incredibly small lift. The style in the room was like going back in time, very old fashioned and not at all as advertised and definitely not worth the money we paid.

We used the facilities provided and saw the sights of harrogate.

The pool area was very relaxing, and the best bit of the hotel.

The breakfast was very poor. The hotel is looking like it needs a make over and upgrade. The car park should be advertised as limited spaces, and may be take pre bookings for a space.

The matress as great. The leisure club was really useful. The bar and entrance areas were well maintained. The Breakfast room is amazing and feels like you are eating in the 1950s

Rooms on the road side are very noisy at night. The corridors are tired and need renovating and smell a little of dog. The rooms are little old fashioned but clean. The car park is small and a bumper scrape waiting to happen!

I travelled with friends to St George Hotel and Leisure Club ....I was in a single room and when booked was expecting a tiny room but thought as we where only staying one night I thought I could cope with anything. When I opened the room door I was pleasantly surprised. The room was not much smaller than many twin rooms I have stayed in. It was very clean and had a decent size bathroom,tv,tea and coffee making facilities, iron and board,hairdryer...everything that you could need. The bed was comfy and at night the room was very quiet( It was at the back of the hotel overlooking the car park. All in all an excellent stay and value for money.

        Slighty creaky floorboards.

Location and facilities. Hope to try breakfast next time we stay.

Not another bland city centre chain hotel. The public rooms are nice, with high ceilings and decorated to reflect the town's heyday. Rooms were comfortable, with toiletries. Breakfast was plentiful, with croissants and rolls being warmed, as well as toast, cereals and the Full English. For the price (£40 B & B), hard to beat!

Car park is small and the entrance is easy to miss. The lift is also small, and there are quite a few internal steps, so maybe not for the infirm.

It's location was good, staff were friendly and any problems were rectified immediately. Value was good and the breakfast selection excellent. The dining room was lovely and well laid out and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were only in Harrogate for three nights (one attending a concert) so chose not to eat in the hotel on the evening but menu looked good. We would certainly consider another short stay at this hotel.

We did not like having to come into the hotel's main entrance whilst smokers were standing around but were not sure if there was any other area they could use. The area between the two sets of doors smelt strongly of smoke - not a good first impression, particularly on an evening.

Very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and the meals were excellent with plenty of choice.

Relaxing and listening to the piano /pianist and the leisure swimming facilities.
